Description

In order to connect your real or virtual Apple IIe to the Internet, you need to set up a “modem emulator.”  For Windows, ”tcpser” is a popular choice that acts as a bridge between the Internet and your Apple II, or other vintage computer.  As far as your Apple II is concerned, it’s talking to a real modem.  Note that tcpser can be built for Linux, Windows, and pretty much any BSD-derived operating system.

Installation and configuration of tcpser is discussed in the “Internet Setup Guide” that’s part of the new updated GBBS Pro 2.2 book available at:  callapple.org/books.

If using Windows for your tcpser host, a pre-compiled binary is available here.
